Every so often, you receive an alert on your mobile phone informing you that you have an update.
Updates, as you know, are important. They fix bugs, battery drain issues and other problems you didn’t know you had. In most cases, it’s a great thing.
So, I have a question: when was the last time you updated your operating system? Yeah, you do have one. It’s called, your brain.
You’ll probably thinking, “Okay, fine, I have one. But, how in the hell do I update it.
See, here’s the thing. When you study the world’s most successful people, whether it’s Oprah, Bill Gates, or Mark Cuban, you will find a common trait: they read, a lot.
In fact, most highly successful entrepreneurs, CEO’s and game-changers read books on a daily basis. What about you?
It’s time to update your operating system. Read.
But, what?
My suggestion is that you read outside of your comfort zone or normal interests. Doing so will do two things. 1. It will diversify your inputs which broadens you. Specifically, your conversations will become exponentially better. And 2. Doing so will sharpen your eye. You will began to recognize patterns and career and opportunities.
Update your operating system. Read.
